WSS-ACSM Dinner Meeting Announcement
Thursday, 21 January 2010, 6:00 PM
Angelo’s Restaurant
1830 130th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA.
Join us as Dave Brown, CP presents:
Report on a Project using Hyper-Spectral Imaging to Map Trees Effected by the Emerald Ash Beetle on the Urban Forest in the City of Milwaukee
Mr. Brown is a distinguished photogrammetrist and imagery analyst who has served in the Pacific Northwest with several companies over the years. He has gained a unique perspective on issues of importance to GIS and survey professionals in the Puget Sound community. Dave will be introducing a new sensor available from his present company, Terra Remote that can gather hundreds of layers of spectral imagery - uniquely suited for wetlands, near shore and coastal applications. Together, when combined with LIDAR, the sensors and returned data have the potential for helping to qualify and quantify previously difficult areas with many bands beyond the visible. Dave is a Certified Photogrammetrist and member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS).
This is an informal, informational presentation hosted by the Washington State Section of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping.
We have limited room, so please let us know if you plan to attend by forwarding an email to ponytrouble@gmail.com as soon as possible.
Dinner meeting price is $30.00 and $10.00 for students.
