The 2010 Re-Measurement of Mount Rainier
Steven will be giving us an early sneak preview of this past summer’s volunteer climb effort and scientific study of Mt. Rainier. This will be an informal warm-up for presentations throughout the state in 2011. Come get the early scoop on the GPS measurements and gravity studies made by the climbing team and the support crews, and hear hair-raising tales of 70mph winds, lost equipment, and the good times had camping overnight at the summit.
This is an informal presentation hosted by the Washington State Section of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping.
We welcome all interested parties - NON-MEMBERS ARE WELCOME.
Please RSVP ASAP with an email to ponytrouble@gmail.com.
Regular meeting rate $30, special rate $15 for underemployed, $10 for students.
Rates do not include beverages.
